Coronavirus Information & Resources

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is working closely with healthcare providers, local public health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to actively monitor any potential cases of Novel Coronavirus 2019 in Michigan.

Individuals who present to healthcare with symptoms of cough or difficulty breathing, fever and report a travel history that includes Wuhan, China or contact with an ill individual who is under investigation for the Novel Coronavirus infection are being considered for CDC laboratory testing after consultation between MDHHS and CDC.

If a medical care provider is concerned about an individual who should be tested or monitored, please call the Dickinson-Iron District Health Department at 906-779-7227 during our regular business hours or call Central Dispatch (911) after hours.
